March is filled with new energy! This month marks the beginning of Spring with the Spring Equinox, and many cultures around the world celebrate this time as the New Year.
This month is also a huge shift for me! This is the first month that I will be a full-time entrepreneur (aka: unemployed đ), and I canât think of a more fitting time to embrace this fresh start. The equinox is all about balance, renewal, and stepping into the light, which is exactly what this transition feels like. The energy of March is an invitation to let go of what no longer serves us and make space for something new, a time when nature reflects the expansion happening within us.
March as a Time for New Beginnings
Many traditions recognize March as a time for energetic renewal and new cycles, making it the perfect season to plant new seedsâboth literally and metaphorically. Here are some of the cultures that celebrate a New Year in March:
Nowruz (Persian New Year) â Celebrated in Iran, Afghanistan, and Central Asia, Nowruz falls on the Spring Equinox and is a festival of renewal, cleansing, and setting intentions for the year ahead. The celebration is deeply tied to nature, with the tradition of Haft-Seen, a table adorned with seven symbolic items representing rebirth, health, and abundance.
Hindu New Year (Ugadi / Gudi Padwa) â In India, many lunar calendars mark late March or early April as the start of the new year, celebrating with rituals, feasting, and intention-setting. These festivals emphasize cleansing old energy, bringing in prosperity, and aligning with cosmic cycles.
Nyepi (Balinese New Year) â A sacred Day of Silence in Bali, Indonesia, where the island shuts down for a full day of reflection, meditation, and renewal. The silence allows individuals to connect deeply with themselves, mirroring the stillness that comes before transformation.
Ostara (Pagan Spring Festival) â A celebration of rebirth, balance, and fertility in tune with the Spring Equinox, honoring the return of light and warmth. Many ancient European cultures celebrated this time with rituals to welcome the longer days and honor the fertility of the land.
The Energy of Water: Memory, Intention & Transformation
Water is one of the most mysterious and powerful elements on Earth. More than just a physical substance, water is deeply connected to energy, frequency, and consciousness. In the realm of quantum physics, we know that energy is constantly shifting and interactingâwater, as a conductor of energy, responds to these shifts in remarkable ways.
Dr. Masaru Emotoâs famous water crystal experiments provide compelling evidence of how water holds memory and responds to its environment. In his studies, he exposed water samples to different words, music, and emotions before freezing them. The results were astonishing:
- Water exposed to loving, positive words formed beautifully symmetrical, intricate crystals.
- Water exposed to harsh, negative words formed distorted, chaotic, and fragmented structures.
- Water taken from polluted environments produced deformed, disorganized shapes
- Water that was clean, blessed, or prayed-over water formed stunning, harmonious patterns.
Other studies done by Dr. Emoto and his team:
- Music and Water Crystals â Emotoâs team played different genres of music to separate water samples before freezing them. Classical music resulted in highly structured and elegant crystalline formations, while heavy metal and aggressive music produced chaotic, fragmented shapes. This suggests that water resonates with vibrational frequencies and reflects the harmony or disharmony present in the sound waves.
- Prayer and Intentions on Water â In another experiment, water from a polluted lake in Japan was collected, and Buddhist monks performed a prayer ritual over it. Afterward, when frozen, the water formed intricate, well-structured crystalsâcontrasting sharply with the disorganized formations from the untreated lake water. This highlights how focused intention and energetic transmission can influence the molecular structure of water.
- Word Labels on Water Containers â Emoto placed labels with words such as âloveâ and âgratitudeâ on bottles of water and left them undisturbed. The frozen water from these bottles displayed stunning, symmetrical crystals, whereas those labeled with âhateâ or âfearâ appeared distorted and fragmented. This experiment suggests that written words, much like spoken words, can influence the energetic imprint on water.
- Human Emotions and Waterâs Response â Another fascinating study involved groups of people projecting emotions toward water samples before freezing them. Water that was âsentâ loving and grateful emotions produced beautiful, balanced crystalline patterns, while water exposed to anger, fear, or resentment showed chaotic and broken structures. This suggests that human emotions, even from a distance, can impact waterâs structure.
- Rice and Water Experiment â Emoto conducted a simple experiment where he placed cooked rice into three jars and filled them with water. One jar was spoken to with kind, appreciative words, the second was ignored, and the third was spoken to with harsh, negative words daily. Over time, the first jar developed a pleasant, fermented aroma, the ignored jar developed mold, and the negatively spoken-to jar rotted the fastest. This experiment, though simple, supports the idea that conscious intention and energy affect the environment around us, including organic matter.
These findings open up fascinating discussions on how our words, emotions, and environments influence waterâboth within and around us. If our bodies are about 60-70% water, then imagine the impact our thoughts, words, and surroundings have on us! Understanding this connection invites us to be more intentional about the energy we cultivate in our lives and the messages we reinforce through speech, thought, and emotion.
Aligning My Own Energy with the Season
In the spirit of new beginnings, Iâm also stepping into something deeply exciting: hosting my first Watercolor Workshop Experience! This workshop is inspired by the idea that water holds energy and memories, just like we do.
Participants will explore their energetic flow through watercolor painting, setting intentions by speaking to their water before using it on the page. This process mirrors how we infuse our lives with meaning, allowing our energy to move in new and beautiful ways.
Watercolor is a perfect medium for this kind of exploration because it is fluid, unpredictable, and alive. It mirrors our emotions, our subconscious, and the energy we bring to it. Just like in Emotoâs studies, the water in our paints becomes an extension of us, shaping something tangible from something invisible. What stories will your water tell?
+ Virtual Workshops & Exciting Collaborations
One of the most fulfilling aspects of this journey has been creating virtual workshops (aka group therapy) that allow people from anywhere in the world to tap into their energy, creativity, and Human Design. Just like last month, Iâll be hosting 4 more virtual Human Design experience where we dive deep into self-discovery and alignment. This space allows for transformation, insight, and connection, no matter where you are in the world.

Embracing Change and Growth
With all this new energy swirling around, Iâm focusing on trusting the process, embracing flow, and honoring my intuition as I move into this new chapter. Change is often uncomfortable, but growth always follows. If youâre also feeling this shift, youâre not alone! March is a powerful time to release what no longer serves us and step boldly into whatâs next.
I invite you to reflect on how you can use this time to set new intentions, welcome change, and embrace the unknown. Whether itâs through journaling, art, movement, or mindful stillness, allow yourself to align with this season of rebirth.
What intentions are you setting with this new energy? How do you embrace the energy of renewal? Letâs talk about it in the comments! â¨
